Anyways, Nick the characters name, starts s eeing this flying blue horse with wings, named Happy. He reminds me of what the Punisher would be like if he went off the deep end, yeah let that one sink in a little. Throughout the whole story he is either high or drunk, so you really get to see this character and how truly messed up he is. The story follows a washed up detective who has traded in his badge, against his will, for a life of debauchery, he is basically a hit man. This story is pretty crazy, and I don’t mean that in the sense that it has the most bizarre ideas or anything I just mean that it is crazy in the sense of a Hubert Shelby or Brett Easton Ellis novel, think American Psycho. Seriously though, this guy seems to be able to do just about anything in the creative world. Something I did not know about Morrison is that he was an aspiring musician before he began writing comics, and he has also written a few plays which he won awards for. Morrison is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers in the comic world, especially after this story. This is the third Morrison story I have read ( WE3 and Arkham Asylum were the other two). Honestly, the cover is really nothing special and I think most people would not think twice about picking this one up, but it looked different to me so I could not pass it up. Once again I saw this one and was sold by the cover.
